S50 B32 cabriolet

The Brief:

To create a BMW E30 S50B32 cabriolet.  Car has been owned by customer since he was 17, has undergone a number of engine conversions from beig a 1.8 to a 2.5 to a 24 valve 2.5.  Fitted with MTECH 2 kit, H&R cup kit and Alpina 17 inch alloys, this was the next chapter in this car and its owners life together!  Car to be ready for Santa Pod BMW weekend (12weeks away!)

What we did:

Remove engine and gearbox, strip back engine bay of all previous bracketry, repair rust areas, relocate battery to the boot, move brake servo accross bulkhead and fit longer brake bar inside car, make custom bracketry for new engine ancilliaries, repaint engine bay.

Engine had E34 sump fitted, windage tray removed from sump, new ARP bolts fitted to the bottom end of engine, new oil pump fitted, block cleaned and painted, new vanos seals, cam cover painted. Wiring loom modified for E30 plug and play, retaining EWS alarm system for added security. 5 speed E36 M3 gearbox fitted, 328 propshaft, new radiator and hoses, custom oil cooler pipework, new oil cooler, BTB custom manifold and full BTB custom made stainless exhaust fitted.

Custom lightweight (4.5kgs) flywheel to accept E34 M5 clutch available from us.

Big 300mm discs fitted with 4 pot calipers, stainless steel braided hoses.

Car was MOT'd and collected before being transported to Santa Pod where it was remapped with a learning chip and rolling roaded at 305bhp at the wheels.
