Why do I need a lightweight flywheel?
A lighter flywheel will release engine power from the engine to the wheels where it is better utilised. Simply put, an engine with a standard flywheel may produce 250bhp at the flywheel and 190bhp at the wheels. The same engine with a lighter flywheel will still produce 250bhp at the flywheel but will have 220bhp at the wheels. There is no increase in engine power but there is an increase in the power delivered to the wheels. You will notice the difference as soon as you start driving the car after fitment. (The figures quoted are as an exmaple and are not to be used as an accurate reflection of the gains achieved).
